Center for Applied Learning

The Center for Applied Learning at Wake Forest Innovations uses the latest in applied and immersive learning techniques to prepare health care professionals to excel in real-world applications of care. With an impressive infrastructure of core labs and facilities, leading faculty and instructors, and access to more than 600 nationally and internationally known clinicians and researchers at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, the Center for Applied Learning provides in-depth, ongoing training to practicing clinical professionals, industry, government and students.

At the Center for Applied Learning, clinical professionals and students get hands-on experience with human tissue, synthetic tissue, high fidelity patient simulation, tabletop task trainers and mock operating room environments. Center for Applied Learning instructors use innovative techniques to improve patient care and safety in anatomy labs, a surgery academy/mock operating room, patient simulation labs, patient assessment facilities and other training environments. At the Program for Medical Ultrasound, ultrasound experts lead courses and hands-on training sessions.

The center is available to meet your custom training and educational needs to support a broad set of needs including equipment training, small group simulations, surgical techniques and application of medical devices.
